What is Ardomote?
Ardomote is a universal remote controller implemented on a Arduino Ethernet. You just need to use SequenceReader to generate the code that will make Ardomote work with the desired remote controller.
The image below shows a possible hardware implementation on a breadboard.
Components:
The MOSFET is used so we can have more power on the infrared LED. Optionally you can connect the infrared LED to the Arduino the same way the red LED was connected, but in this case use a 100ohm resistor minimum, or you risk damaging the Arduino.
Also when using a MOSFET with the 33ohm resistor, around 100mA will go through the infrared LED... So make sure the LED can take that muck power. If you have no way of knowing, you can still risk it, worst case scenario the LED burns, but the Arduino stays fine ;)

Components:
- Red LED with a 220ohm resistor (connected to pin 6).
- IR receiver connected to pin 4. I am using a TSOP1738, but any other will do.
- MOSFET transistor. I am using a IRF520, but any other would probabbly work too.
- Infrared LED with a 33ohm resistor (connected to the MOSFET).

Using Ardomote
Once Ardomote is installed on the Arduino, connect to HTTP://192.168.1.88 to access it.
To use the buttons first we need to program then individually. To program a button there are only 3 simple steps:
To use the buttons first we need to program then individually. To program a button there are only 3 simple steps:
- Press the "learn" button. The red led should start flasking fast.
- Press any button on your original remote controller, pointing it at the infrared receiver. The red led should start blinking slower if a command was received.
- Finally, click the button on Ardomotic to which you want to assign that button to. And the red led should turn off again.
